Established in 2006, the Montessori Enrichment Fund serves to provide financial assistance to those families in need who desire a Montessori education for their child. The Enrichment Fund honors the founders of MCH, Joy Sheffield and LaVerne Davis, for their pioneering commitment to Montessori education in Fort Worth and their help in establishing public Montessori schools. The formal announcement of the creation of the Fund was made during the Centennial Celebration of Montessori Education, a worldwide event in January 2007.
Donations from the Montessori Parent’s Club, current and former parents, friends and alumni of the school sustain the fund. In its inaugural year, the Fund awarded financial assistance to three families.
