Just last week the Upper Elementary had very special visitors. A bunch of bats! BatWorld came and educated us on the importance and variety of bats. We even got to see live bats! We learned that bats live throughout the world, but a lot of them live in Texas. The Upper Elementary class learned that bats eat insects and studies have shown that bats protect crops around the world. Bats are also important pollinators.

If you would like to make a bat house at your house there are only a few simple instructions. You can note them online or get plans to build them yourself online at https://batworld.org/bat-house-information/

We hope you can take this special opportunity to help bats. Please Remember: Never Touch A Bat!
