Dear Parents,

We are excited to share with you plans for this school year.  You can now download our school calendar listing events that have become traditions at our school along with some new experiences for our families.  To make this a successful year, we are counting on your participation and look forward to these shared events that build partnerships between families and the school.

You should receive a newsletter each Tuesday throughout the school year that will keep you abreast of all the school happenings starting in September.  If you have questions at any time, please contact us by phone, email or just ask in person!  We welcome your questions, comments and ideas.  At the beginning of each month, you will receive a calendar for that month that includes field trips and additional information.

Our first event is Parent Orientation on Tuesday, August 25th.  There will be a social time from 6:00 to 6:30 pm in the middle school. Returning parents are encouraged to mentor the new parents and help them feel welcome.  A short new parent orientation will take place from 6:30 to 7:00 pm. followed by a parent meeting for ALL elementary and middle school parents in the various classrooms starting at 7:15 pm.  Please make plans to attend this parents only meeting to get important information and ready you for the school year.

This summer, our school has been transforming:

The school was given a gorgeous new sign by the graduating 8th grade students that will greet us for years to come. It has been installed between the North and South Preschool buildings.

The new lower elementary building is on schedule to open this month.  Mrs. Hendricksen and Mrs. Skinner will be the teachers in that classroom named South Lower Elementary.

Our backyard has a beautiful patio under the 25th Anniversary Oak tree just off the South building and upper elementary patio. The work was completed by Randy Hendricksen and it provides a beautiful, peaceful gathering place for the students.

Eagle Scout candidate and former student, Ian Minervini, along with Boy School Troop 17, enhanced the Upper Elementary building with a new flowerbed. Plants were donated by Archie’s Gardenland.

We are so grateful for our generous school families!

You can contribute to our school through our Montessori Parents’ Club by your gift of time.  We encourage you to review the volunteer form and let us know how you can support our school.  Please mail, email, fax, or return the form by September 11th.  Together, we will make this a fabulous school year!

Sincerely,
