Primary students that were four years of age by January 1, 2017 or older but not in their kindergarten year who are returning to MSFW next year will be screened for kindergarten readiness in class next week.  Using the theme of the Yellow Brick Road, the screening  determines areas of strength and areas for growth in motor, visual, auditory and language areas. Results of the screenings will be discussed during your child’s conference day meeting Monday,  April 10. Kindergarten students entering the MSFW lower elementary program in the fall take the Phonological Awareness Test that is developmentally appropriate to determine success in first grade.
